Marley was Daphne from scooby Doo and Austin was a G I Joe ninja. I was Minnie Mouse and Clint was Jack skellington. Rowan was a spider although he didnt wear his costume for very long because It was very hot..but he was a cutie. Saturday we went to a festival and the kids joined in the costume contest and of course Both Marley and Austin were being silly and didnt want to walk the circle. oh well, they still had a fun weekend.

Post Birth

I was able to stay home for two months after having Rowan and it has flown by. Im back at work and missing my babies after being with them all day every day. Rowan is now 2 months old and at his appt last week he weighed 13.8 lbs. He is a big boy who loves to eat. He is mainly breast fed and gets formula on occasion just so he gets used to it when he has to have it. Marley loves him and I think loves to pretend he is her baby doll. She is very good with him although you ask her to change his diaper and she walks away, haha, I tried. Austin loves him too but I think he'll like him more when he is bigger and can play superheroes with him. Marley started kindergarten in August and is learning to read. She read her first small book last night and was so proud of herself. I am very proud too.

July 29, 2010

...is Rowan's birthday.. He was 8 lbs 1 0z and 19 in long. He looks just like Austin. He was due August 10 but at my doctors appointment on the 28 I had a stress test done and every time he would have a big movement or jump his heartrate would drop very low. So my doctor said he wanted me to go to the hospital for further monitoring. I figured I would be coming home so I really didnt take much with me and Patty took me. A couple of hours later I was for sure staying and having a c-section the next morning. He ended up flipping overnight and the cord was wrapped around his neck twice which is why his heartrate would drop when he moved. I am so thankful I went to the hospital when I did because there is no telling what could have happened if I would have waited 2 more weeks. Thankfully everything went smoothly and he his a healthy baby boy.

Congratulations Cristen and John!

This past weekend was a fun one filled with family, fun and Great food! We headed to Plano Friday morning becasue Clint's cousin Cristen was getting married and Marley was the cutest flower girl i have ever seen. We met up with the Fowlers Friday to get Mar ready for the reahearsal and to get changed for the Rehearsal dinner, which was fabulous. Since I couldnt indulge in all of the alcohol that was flowing I overindulged in all of the food, haha! I couldnt help myself. Friday night the boys stayed at the hotel while Marley and myself stayed at Aunt Pam's house. We had to be up bright and early the next morning for the Bridal breakfast, which was at Pams. After breakfasr we headed to the hotel for swimming and shopping. My birthday is this coming weekend so I got to pick up a couple of things I wanted while there. There were outlet malls right across the street from the hotel so who could resist. Then back to the room to nap and get ready for the wedding. Kayla and I had our makeup done at Lancome, ahhhhh. How refreshing was that? The girls there did a great job. Lancome is my new favorite makeup...I Highly suggest the dual finish powder/foundation. Anyway the reception was an absolute blast for everyone. Of course I had to sit and watch, but Marley, Austin, Jackson and Camden danced the night away. Austin didnt want to leave when it was time to go. He wanted to keep dancing. Oh and of course there was more great food and cake..:)
